Play Therapy - with Elly

If you are concerned about your child’s behaviour or that they are not reaching their full potential, Play Therapy is recommended.

In Play Therapy, children are provided with a ‘Tool-Kit’ – specially chosen toys and creative arts media – to enable them to communicate what they have difficulty expressing through language. Children are given the opportunity to develop ways of dealing with challenging situations and emotions within a supportive, safe and caring environment.

Toys are their words.
Play is their language.
Emotional wellbeing is the aim.

Speech Therapy - with Sam

Sam our Speech Pathologist, works closely with teachers to build staff capability and strengthen classroom practice. She supports teachers to embed evidence-based strategies that enhance phonics, phonemic awareness,  communication and language development, so that all students can effectively access their learning

She also works in partnership with the wellbeing team to ensure that students with speech and language difficulties have their needs identified and appropriately supported.

Counselling - with Donna

Donna, our Student Counsellor, provides targeted one-on-one support and group programs that help students build confidence, resilience, and strong social skills through greater self-awareness. She supports students in developing positive relationships by addressing their individual social and emotional needs in a safe, supportive, and non-judgemental environment.

Counselling extends beyond traditional talk therapy, with children encouraged to express themselves through art, play, dance, music and other forms of storytelling. Students are gently guided as they navigate issues such as anxiety and behavioural challenges, developing practical strategies and life skills that can be applied both in the classroom and beyond.

Family Counselling - with Fatima

Our Family Counsellor provides comprehensive support to parents and carers through a holistic, strengths‑based approach. She works closely with families to understand their individual circumstances and to promote positive, supportive home–school partnerships.

Fatima offers guidance, practical strategies, and compassionate assistance, and when additional support is required, she facilitates referrals to appropriate external services.
